What to know before voting on Prop HH

Published Fri, 21 Feb 2025 17:10:10 GMT

DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado voters already casting their ballots ahead of the Nov. 7 election. One issue is taking up half of voters' blue ballot information booklet, and it’s been confusing voters for months. Proposition HH aims to limit how much property taxes will go up statewide, but it would also make changes to what the state does with excess taxpayer dollars. The population center of Colorado likely isn’t where you think it is: Census Three of the cities that have submitted proposals to become the competition's new home are in states neighboring Nevada — Wendover, Utah, on the Nevada line along Interstate 80; Thermal, California, southeast of Palm Springs; and Buckeye, Arizona, on the western edge of Phoenix. The others are Roswell, New Mexico; Pueblo, Colorado; and Casper, Wyoming.Ra...
